The Swiss cutting system manufacturer Zünd will focus on end-to-end digital leather processing workflows at Simac Tanning Tech 2026, which takes place in Milan from September 15 to 17. Together with technology partners Mind and Mindhive, the company will demonstrate how processes ranging from hide capture and quality assessment to production data processing and digital cutting can be integrated into a continuous workflow.
According to Zünd, the approach combines software, automated defect detection and quality assessment with digital cutting technology. The aim is to make leather processing more efficient, transparent and reproducible. The solutions are intended for applications including footwear, leather goods and accessories as well as automotive interiors.
One example is the Dectura workflow, introduced in 2025. It combines Mindhive’s Finish Select technology, software from Mind and Zünd’s digital cutting systems in an integrated process. At Simac, specialists from all three companies will present the workflow and advise visitors on suitable combinations of software, automation and cutting technology.
For the first time, Zünd will also show scheduled live broadcasts of machine demonstrations from Mind’s demo centre in Portugal on screens at the exhibition stands. Zünd and its partners Mind and Mindhive will be located in Hall 14 at booths C48 and C44.
