CEO Christian Decker leaves Desma

He was serving as CEO since 2009. Reflecting on his time at the company, he says: “In the industrial footwear sector, a significant proportion of the innovations introduced over the past decades can be traced, directly or indirectly, to developments that arose through close collaboration with Desma’s customers and partners. What really matters to me, however, is what these innovations have achieved: helping customers and industrial manufacturers to strengthen their competitiveness, improve performance and create sustainable value.”

The management of the Achim-based company now consists of Klaus Freese and Narith Meksavanh. Christian Decker plans to remain closely connected to the global footwear industry in the future and to focus on technology, manufacturing, innovation and business models, as he explained in response to a STT inquiry.
