Presented annually by the German Design Council (“Rat für Formgebung”), the German Innovation Award recognises products, technologies and services that offer innovative solutions with clear added value for users. Entries are evaluated on criteria including the level of innovation, user benefits and economic viability, while also considering sustainability, efficient use of resources, technical quality, durability and market readiness.
The jury selected the Puma Safety Kanyon Mid Disc for its approach to modern safety footwear, combining occupational protection with the comfort and functionality typically associated with outdoor and athletic footwear.
The model is part of the Trail Protect collection, developed under the motto “Work is your Trail.” The range is designed for professionals working in challenging environments who require high levels of comfort, stability and protection throughout the working day.
The Kanyon Mid Disc S3S ESD features a mid-cut design and is certified to the S3S ESD safety standard, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and technical applications. With its sports-inspired design and focus on all-day wearability, the shoe reflects the growing trend towards safety footwear that combines performance with modern styling.
