The International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians (Uitic), in collaboration with Krista Exhibition and with the support of Aprisindo – the Indonesian Footwear Association – announces that the 23rd Uitic International Congress will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, from August 2 to 4, 2027.
With this new edition of the event, which brings together professionals, researchers, companies, technology suppliers and industry representatives from across the globe, Uitic renews its commitment to promoting dialogue and the dissemination of technical knowledge throughout the global footwear value chain. Jakarta, one of Asia’s leading manufacturing and industrial hubs, represents a strategic location for hosting the international event dedicated to innovation, technologies and the future development of the sector.
“The choice of Indonesia reflects Uitic’s commitment to fostering an increasingly up-to-date exchange among the stakeholders that make up the global footwear supply chain on trends, developments in design and footwear manufacturing processes. The event will be structured around three days dedicated to technical insights and international networking. The programme will include visits to leading companies and organizations within the Indonesian footwear and tanning industries, a congress day featuring expert speakers and high-level thematic sessions, as well as a joint Uitic-Aprisindo-Krista initiative to coincide with the opening of Indo Leather & Footwear Expo, one of Asia’s leading trade fairs dedicated to the leather and footwear supply chain.
