As global markets and production models continue to evolve, Italy’s leather industry is facing new challenges that require closer collaboration between design, technology and manufacturing. Against this backdrop, Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech are organising a two-stop conference programme aimed at fostering dialogue across the sector and strengthening the international competitiveness of Italian manufacturing.
The initiative is organised in partnership with UNIC – Italian Tanneries, Assomac, the Italian association representing manufacturers of footwear, leather goods and tanning machinery, and with the support of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE).
The conferences will take place in two regions that represent the excellence of Italian manufacturing. The first event will be held in Montegranaro (Marche), home to the internationally renowned footwear district of Fermo, while the second will take place in Naples, a city with a long-standing tradition of craftsmanship, fashion and leather goods production.
According to the organisers, the events are designed to encourage discussion between media, manufacturers and industry stakeholders on the strategic role of creativity, technological innovation and industrial expertise in driving sustainable growth across the leather supply chain.
The conference programme includes:
2 September 2026, 4:30 pm – Hotel Horizon, Montegranaro (FM)
3 September 2026, 4:30 pm – Sala Cenzato, Unione Industriali Napoli, Naples
Participation is open, subject to registration, to journalists, companies, supply chain stakeholders and professionals with an interest in fashion, manufacturing technologies and innovation in the Italian leather and footwear industries.
